Over the years, I’ve had the honor of speaking to communities all over the world. Here’s what they have to say about our work and impact.
"I believe that a student's educational success can be impacted by many factors, both inside and outside of the classroom. Many of today's students are in need of love, hope, and support. Your message to students is simple: "You matter." Like you, I believe that each person, and each student, matters. Each one of us was created with a purpose and for a purpose."
"You were created on purpose, with purpose, for a purpose.” This message has reached students across our country and world with great effect, restoring children’s hope and faith in themselves. As parents, teachers, and administrators search for ways to positively impact their students. I urge them to consider this program to ensure their children hear the life-changing words “you matter."
"You matter." In a time when I fear more and more deaths by suicide and desperation, these words are more necessary than ever. It is emblazoned in a simple pledge: I choose to live and not end my life because I was created as an original. I was created for relationships. I was created to fulfill a purpose."
“The students who felt suicide was their only option have now decided to make a difference by using their words to inspire someone else who may be struggling."
“Dean is a dynamic and interesting speaker who engages the students in his program on suicide prevention. He is impactful and very beneficial. Students were engaged and responsive during and after this seminar"
“I am always thankful that with Dean's very busy schedule of speaking in over 100 cities in the United States he still finds time to leave an impact on our students here in Tulsa."
“Dean's ministry will reach down into the very heart and soul of those listening and many will be ministered to and receive hope and direction for their lives in Christ."
“They do Matter!! Your program allowed many of our students to visit some feelings they have been experiencing, and in turn opened up the window for communication. I would highly recommend your program to other schools and youth groups."
“Your message to students, "YOU MATTER" has restored purpose back into the lives of many of our students"
“You matter. It's such as simple phrase but there is so much power behind those two words. The greatest fear of most school administrators is having a student take their own life. This program helps instill in each and every child that they are a part of something more"
“I believe that Dean's ministry has and will continue to save lives and direct students to seek help from those they trust. I am amazed at the drive and continous willingness to build into students and organizations across the country."
“His message was very motivating and encouraging for our students , as some made decisions of faith , some confessed battles they were facing , and all felt encouraged."
“His ability to connect and captivate the audience with words that ring true can only be from God. He did not use notes because he delivered the message that God gave him for his time with us. I know this was the right message because the response from our students was overwhelming. I am so thankful for the time that Dean Sikes gave to us. Lives were changed on this day."
“Deans Inspirational story of hope, forgiveness of others and self and the ability to find joy in life through making an impact on others, was one of which our school needed to be reminded."
“Dean engages in open and honest conversations that are necessary. His personal testimonials make it easier for students to be open and receive salvation and restoration. He reminds the students of their worth to God and others. I admire that Dean can address students of various grade levels and consistently convey the messages of hope."
His message focuses on why each individual matters and that suicide is not an option. His message is extremely personal and relevant for all who especially individuals who are considering or have tried taking their life. Our students were so open with him, and the time he spent with small groups of students following the presentation was so helpful to these students who now express a more positive mindset of their life and struggles. Most importantly, these students have now opened their hearts to others and know sharing support and their hurt is a positive method of healing.
